Credit Suisse CEO Received $17.9 Million In Total Compensation For 2009

Credit Suisse (NYSE:CS) CEO Brady Dougan received total compensation for 2009 of 19.2 million Swiss francs ($17.9 million).

The payout was nearly seven times more than what Dougan received in 2008. The deal included a base salary of 1.25 million francs, with the remaining 93% of the payout in the form of a bonus.

In an annual report, the bank said that its executive board, comprised of 13 people, received total pay and bonuses of 148.9 million francs for 2009. The previous year, the 15 person executive board received total compensation of 106.7 million francs.

Bonuses for the executive board have been deferred to later years.
