Monday, Austin, Texas-based SigmaTel Inc. (NASDAQ:SGTL) announced its agreement to be acquired by Freescale Semiconductors for $110 million. The privately held semiconductor manufacturer plans to pay $3 per outstanding share of SigmaTel. Shares of SigmaTel were up $1.06 to $2.85 in afternoon trading.
