Thursday, private-label cereal maker Ralcorp Holdings Inc. (NYSE:RAH) announced it will purchase Kraft Foods Inc.'s (NYSE:KFT) Post cereals unit for nearly $1.7 billion in Ralcorp stock. Ralcorp will also assume $950 million in debt, boosting the value of the deal to about $2.6 billion. Shares of Ralcorp were up $5.87 to $61.34 in Thursday afternoon trading.
