Bank of America (NYSE:BAC) said Friday that lead director O. Temple Sloan has stepped down from the company's board of directors after serving for over 13 years. The resignation comes amid shareholder requests to reorganize its board and may put more pressure on CEO Ken Lewis. At the bank's annual meeting in April, a third of shareholders voted against the re-election of Sloan and Lewis to the board as a sign that BofA shareholders want change at the highest levels.
