The guys over at Boy Genius Report have been following Nokia's (NYSE:NOK) flagship N97 handset, and reported today why there has been talk of the phone's slow speeds, especially when using applications on the device. The phone sports an ARM 11 processor that clocks in at 434MHz, a weak attempt when compared to some of its would-be competitors. Research in Motion's (NASDAQ:RIMM) Blackberry Bold features 642MHz, the HTC Magic has 528 MHz, the Samsung i8910 has 600MHz and the Palm (NASDAQ:PALM) Pre is also expected to clock at 600MHz.
