According to AppleInsider, Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) may be preparing to introduce more affordable Macs. Citing people familiar with the matter, Apple's response to possibly tailor certain Mac offerings is not a response to Microsoft's (NASDAQ:MSFT) recent ad campaign where the tech giant pokes fun at Apple's high-priced laptops. Rather, it is an interim solution to combat the aggressive pricing of netbook manufacturers until it unveils its own version of these barebones, "budget" notebook computers.
