Genzyme Corp. (NASDAQ:GENZ) announced Tuesday morning that it had acquired rights from Bayer AG to commercialize its Campath drug, used to treat multiple sclerosis and leukemia. Under terms of the agreement, Genzyme also will receive rights to two other blood cancer treatments including Flurdara and Leukine. Genzyme expects the acquisition to generate approximately $185 million in revenue for 2009 and up to $700 million over the next three years.
