Monday, Penn National Gaming, Inc. (NYSE:PENN) posted higher third quarter earnings with net income of $147.5 million, or $1.69 per share, up from $46.6 million, or 52 cents per share during the same period the previous year. Penn National shares rose 13 percent to $14.38 on Nasdaq on Monday.
