Wednesday, McDonald's Corp. (NYSE:MCD) reported an 11 percent increase in third-quarter profit compared with the year before. Net income for the period ended September 30 was $1.19 billion, or $1.05 per share, compared to $1.07 billion, or 89 cents per share, the previous year. Revenue rose 6 percent to $6.27 billion from $5.9 billion.
