Tuesday evening, Ohio-based Health Care REIT, Inc. (NYSE:HCN), a real estate investment trust, announced it was in the middle of a transaction to acquire 29 Sunrise Senior Living Properties for around $643.5 million. The 29 properties account for Health Care REIT's 90% interest in the venture. Sunrise Senior Living will still have a 10% interest and will continue to operate the facilities. Health Care REIT ended the day down 8 cents at $51.79.
