Today, oil giant, ConocoPhillips (NYSE:COP), posted record high earnings results for its fiscal 2Q. The company reported net income of $5.4 billion, or $3.50 per share, exceptionally higher than the $301 million, or $0.18 per share, earnings reported a year earlier. Revenue spiked to $71.4 billion from $47.4 billion last year. Earnings were due to high oil prices from its exploration and production segment.
