Today, the largest pharmaceutical producer in the world, Pfizer Inc (NYSE:PFE), announced its 2Q earnings results. Net income more than doubled to $2.78 billion, or $0.41 per share, from $1.27 billion, or $0.18 per share in the year-ago period. Revenue for the period increased 9% to $12.1 billion; the company said 7% of revenue was the product of favorable exchange rates in foreign sales.
