3/19/2010-Dow Jones reported Friday that ConocoPhillips (NYSE:COP) said that it has appointed Trond-Erik Johansen as the new head of its operations in Alaska, effective April 1.
Johansen, who currently heads Conoco's Southeast Asia Exploration and Production unit, will replace Jim Bowles, who was killed last month in an avalanche while snowmobiling in Alaska's Kenai Peninsula.
Norway-born Johansen joined the Houston-based oil giant in 1986, and has worked for the company in Norway, the U.K., the U.S., Indonesia and Singapore.
