Genworth Financial Elects New Independent Director (GNW,DNB)

3/17/2010-Genworth Financial (NYSE: GNW) said Wednesday that it has elected Steven W. Alesio as a new independent director.
Alesio, 55, has been chairman of the board of the Dun & Bradstreet Corporation (NYSE:DNB) since May 2005, having served as its chief executive officer from January 2005 to December 2009.
Michael D. Fraizer, chairman and CEO, commented, "As Genworth continues to execute its strategy, we believe Steve's extensive experience and insights will be invaluable in helping to guide us.
