Apax Partners in Talks to Take Polycom Private in $3 Billion Deal (PLCM)

3/17/2010-The Financial Times reported Wednesday that Apax Partners LLP has been in discussions with Polycom (NASDAQ:PLCM) about taking it private in a deal that may value Polycom at more than $3 billion, citing people familiar with the situation.
The rise in Polycom's share price may now make a deal unfeasible, the newspaper said.
Apax and Polycom declined to comment on the matter.
