11/19/2009 - OraSure Technologies (NASDAQ:OSUR) announced the settlement of the patent infringement lawsuit filed against OraSure by Inverness Medical Innovations (NYSE:IMA), Inverness Medical Switzerland GmbH and Church & Dwight (NYSE:CHD). OraSure has agreed to pay the Inverness $3,000,000 in cash and in return Inverness has agreed to grant OraSure certain licenses to its lateral flow patents. As a result, the company now expects a Q4 2009 net loss of 10 cents to 11 cents per share.
