11/17/2009-According to an AP report, vaccines for diseases like Malaria, Tuberculosis, Alzheimer's and even AIDS, may be on the market as the pharmaceutical industry is hard at work developing them.

The report indicated that may of these vaccines could be released in less than five years.

The once low-profit vaccine industry has reportedly turned the corner and as government support rises and technology booms companies like Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ) and Pfizer (NYSE:PFE) as well as smaller "nascent biotechs" have looked to develop these vaccines.

The report indicated that drugmakers are looking for ways to boost slowing prescription medicine sales due to rising generic competition as well as government pressure.
