11/6/2009 - Roper Industries (NYSE:ROP) said Friday that it is buying Verathon Inc. and United Toll Services for a combined $356 million. The deal is expected to bring in more than $140 million in revenue and at least $38 million in pretax profit in 2010. The Verathon board of directors approved the transaction and the closing is subject to other regulatory approvals and closing conditions. The existing leadership teams of both businesses are expected to remain the same once the acquisitions are completed.
