11/3/2009 - Royal Caribbean Cruises (NYSE:RCL) reported Q3 EPS of $1.07, beating consensus analyst estimates of $1.00. Revenue for the quarter fell 14.5% year-over-year to $1.76 billion, falling just shy of consensus estimates of $1.77 billion. Chairman and CEO Richard Fain said, "Like many other travel companies, we saw more strength than we expected during our peak season but have been experiencing more pricing pressure on some of our traditionally softer fall season sailings." The company issued guidance for Q4, expecting a loss of $0.05 for FY EPS of $0.70. Consensus estimates forecast Q4 EPS of $0.04 and FY EPS of $0.74.
