11/3/2009-MasterCard (NYSE:MA) reported Q3 EPS of $3.48, ex-items, topping consensus estimates of $2.94.
Net revenues in the quarter rose 2.0% year-over-year to $1.4 billion, and came in ahead of consensus estimates of $1.35 billion.
The company said its gross dollar volume rose 0.3% and its purchase volume rose 0.4%.
MasterCard also reported a 7.6% increase in the number of transactions processed to 5.8 billion.
The company said, "We are raising our sales expectations for the remainder of the year, but we continue to be cautious with our outlook and are planning accordingly."
