10/31/2009-According to comments made by the company's Chief Executive Officer, Sanofi-Aventis (NYSE:SNY) is looking to double its vaccine business over the next five years. Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung quoted Chris Viehbacher as saying he wanted to "double it in the next five years. Its share in group sales will increase as a result from 10-11 percent to 15-16 percent." He also mentioned that Asian markets had a huge potential.
