10/13/2009 - Verizon (NYSE:VZ) has historically underwhelmed critics with its Open Development program, but an upcoming Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) Android handset certified through the program may make a splash, according to an Unstrung report. Verizon's CEO said after a recent deal was made with Google that two Android devices would be out in the approaching weeks, but he did not mention this mysterious third device, which is expected to come with the capability to act as a "MiFi" personal WiFi router, connecting users' laptops to the Internet when they are on the move. That device is expected in early 2010.
