9/30/2009 - Dow Chemical (NYSE:DOW) said Wednesday that its Union Carbide subsidiary has completed the divestiture of Optimal Group to further reduce debt, according to a Reuters report. It was divested for $660 million to Malaysia's state-owned oil company Petronas. Shares of Dow Chemical are trading 2.66% lower early on Wednesday.
