8/31/2009 - Boeing Co.'s (NYSE:BA) commercial airplane division president and CEO, Scott Carson, is retiring by the end of the year. Jim Albaugh, who is currently the head of the Integrated Defense Systems, is replacing Carson. Carson has been the head of Boeing's commercial airplane division since 2006.

Boeing's chairman, president, and CEO, Jim McNerney, said, "As a Washington state native and the leader of more than 9,000 IDS employees working in the Puget Sound region, (Albaugh) is familiar with the people, issues and programs in the area. He is the ideal leader for BCA at this time."
