8/31/2009 - Walgreen Co. (NYSE:WAG) announced Monday that it will start giving seasonal flu shots on Tuesday and will give away $1 million in free shots to people without insurance. The company said that the vaccines will be available at almost all of its 6,900 stores and about 350 of its Take Care Clinics. The shots will be available by appointment or walk-in and will cost $24.99. All clinics and pharmacies will have either an immunizing pharmacist or a nurse practitioner on staff from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
