York Water has the Highest Return on Equity in the Water Utilities Industry (YORW, WTR, CWT, AWR, CTWS)

Below are the top five companies in the Water Utilities industry as measured by return on equity (ROE). The ROE is a general indication of the company's efficiency; Investors usually look for companies with ROEs that are high and are growing.
York Water (NASDAQ:YORW) ranks first with an ROE of 9.9%; Aqua America (NYSE:WTR) ranks second with an ROE of 9.9%; and California Water Service (NYSE:CWT) ranks third with an ROE of 9.8%.
American States Water (NYSE:AWR) follows with an ROE of 9.8% and Connecticut Water Service (NASDAQ:CTWS) rounds out the top five with an ROE of 9.6%.
