Universal American has the Highest Level of Efficiency in the Managed Health Care Industry (UAM, WCG, MDF, HNT, WLP)

Below are the top five most-efficient companies in the Managed Health Care industry as ranked by Revenue Per Employee (RPE). Analysts use RPE as a measure to compare the productivity of companies in the same industry.
Universal American (NYSE:UAM) ranks first with an RPE of $2.52M; WellCare Health Plans (NYSE:WCG) ranks second with an RPE of $1.73M; and Metropolitan Health Networks (AMEX:MDF) ranks third with an RPE of $1.66M.
Health Net (NYSE:HNT) follows with an RPE of $1.63M and WellPoint (NYSE:WLP) rounds out the top five with an RPE of $1.58M.
SmarTrend currently has shares of Universal American in an Uptrend and issued the Uptrend alert on December 31, 2010 at $7.96. The stock has risen 23.2% since the Uptrend alert was issued.
