Toyota Sued by Orange County,California DA (TM)

3/12/2010-Bloomberg reported Friday that Toyota Motor Corp. (NYSE:TM) has been sued by the top prosecutor of Orange County, California, who said he's seeking a court order to stop the sale of vehicles with dangerous defects.
The lawsuit also names as defendants Toyota Motor Sales USA and the carmaker's credit and financial services divisions.
Tony Rackauckas, Orange county's elected district attorney, remarked, "As these cases continue to pile up, I have been becoming more and more uneasy knowing that many thousands of California consumers have purchased defective Toyota vehicles."
