Below are the top five most-efficient companies in the Specialty Chemicals industry as ranked by Revenue Per Employee (RPE). Analysts use RPE as a measure to compare the productivity of companies in the same industry.
Nalco Holding (NYSE:NLC) ranks first with an RPE of $2.41M; Landec (NASDAQ:LNDC) ranks second with an RPE of $2.11M; and NewMarket (NYSE:NEU) ranks third with an RPE of $1.34M.
Stepan (NYSE:SCL) follows with an RPE of $0.81M and Innospec (NASDAQ:IOSP) rounds out the top five with an RPE of $0.78M.
