Research in Motion Ltd. Shares Drop, Following co-CEO's Comments on New Smartphones (RIMM)
04/26/2010 - Shares of Research in Motion Ltd. (NASDAQ:RIMM) fell Monday, following comments at an analyst meeting by the company's co-CEO, Jim Balsillie.
Research in Motion shares dropped 2.8% at $68.63 earlier today.
Charter Equity analyst Ed Snyder said, "[The stock] dipped because Jim didn't introduce the new operating system or a good phone," as people had hoped for.
Research in Motion announced two new BlackBerry Bold and Pearl smartphones today, but many were hoping to see touch-screen capabilities and enhanced designs of the mobile devices.
