Motorola's Co-CEO's Receive Significantly Less Compensation In 2009 Compared To 2008 (MOT)
3/13/2010- Motorola's (NYSE:MOT) top two officers saw their total compensation fall significantly in 2009 from 2008, according to an SEC filing.
Sanjay Jha and Greg Brown, co-chief executives, both had previously agreed to lower their salaries towards the end of 2008 as part of a response to the economic downturn and business problems that the company was having.
Jha's total compensation fell to $3.77 million from $104.4 million in 2008. A majority of 2008's totals involved stock grants made when he joined the company.
Brown's total compensation fell to $8.46 million, down from $24.24 million.
Both officers take home the same salary but Brown received more stock and option rewards.
