Below are the top five companies in the Integrated Telecommunication Services industry as measured by return on equity (ROE). The ROE is a general indication of the company's efficiency; Investors usually look for companies with ROEs that are high and are growing.
Alaska Communications Systems (NASDAQ:ALSK) ranks first with an ROE of 163.2%; Windstream (NASDAQ:WIN) ranks second with an ROE of 102.3%; and Consolidated Communications (NASDAQ:CNSL) ranks third with an ROE of 42.5%.
HickoryTech (NASDAQ:HTCO) follows with an ROE of 34% and Frontier Communications (NYSE:FTR) rounds out the top five with an ROE of 32.6%.
