After Yesterday's Decline of 2.67%, Alliance Data Offers Investors Better Value

Alliance Data (NYSE:ADS) traded in a range yesterday that spanned from a low of $229.90 to a high of $237.97. Yesterday, the shares fell 2.7%, which took the trading range below the 3-day low of $234.09 on volume of 335,000 shares. Often times after large one-day declines, short-term traders may play for some degree of mean reversion.

In the past 52 weeks, Alliance Data share prices have been bracketed by a low of $185.02 and a high of $278.33 and are now at $230.60, 25% above that low price. Over the past week, the 200-day moving average (MA) has gone down 0.8% while the 50-day MA has declined 0.3%.
