Petmed Express: The Losing Streak Continues (PETS)

Petmed Express (NASDAQ:PETS) traded at a new 52-week low today of $14.50. So far today approximately 1.1 million shares have been exchanged, as compared to an average 30-day volume of 730,000 shares.

PetMed Express, Inc. is a pet pharmacy. The Company offers prescription and non-precription pet medications, as well as health and nutritional supplements. PetMed Express offers its products via telephone, fax, mail, and the internet to customers throughout the United States.

Petmed Express share prices have moved between a 52-week high of $41.76 and the current low of $14.50 and are currently at $15.91 per share. In the last five trading sessions, the 50-day moving average (MA) has fallen 2.3% while the 200-day MA has slid 1.9%.

Potential upside of 168.2% exists for Petmed Express, based on a current level of $15.91 and analysts' average consensus price target of $42.67. The stock should run into initial resistance at its 50-day moving average (MA) of $17.23 and subsequent resistance at its 200-day MA of $22.43.
