AIG (NYSE: AIG) Doesn't Owe Taxes on Life Insurance Sold to International Customers

Shares of American International Group (NYSE:AIG) are trading 0.2% lower to $26.67 premarket Friday after Bloomberg reported that the insurer was told by the Internal Revenue Service that it does not owe taxes on life insurance sold to non-U.S. customers through an international division, a decision that could ease the sale of its American Life Insurance unit to MetLife (NYSE:MET).
